PML-N may field Hamza against Dasti in NA 178

ISLAMABAD: Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif has been planning to give party (PML-N) ticket to his son Hamza Shahbaz to contest election against Jamshed Dasti of PPP from NA 178 Muzaffargarh, sources said.

Sources informed that the decision was being taken to strengthen the party (PML-N) representation in the south Punjab.

It was decided during the talks, which were held in a meeting between Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif and local leadership of Muzaffargarh.

Member National Assembly Sardar Irfan Dogar led the delegation. Both sides openly discussed the current political situation and conditions for upcoming elections in the Muzaffargarh district.

It is expected that PML-N may give party ticket to Sardar Irfan Dogar to contest election from Sheikhupura instead of PML-N MNA Javed Latif.

When Sardar Hameed Dogar was contacted to verify the reports regarding the party decisions for upcoming election, he said that although talks were held between Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif and local leadership of Muzaffargarh and all matters were under discussion. However, no decision has been finalized yet.
