Jisshu Sengupta to romance Deepika Padukone on screen

Shoojit Sircar’s next film “Piku”, which already has a formidable cast of Amitabh Bachchan, Irrfan Khan and Deepika Padukone, just got more interesting. It now stars Bengali star Jisshu Sengupta in the romantic lead opposite Deepika.
Jisshu, who made his Bollywood debut opposite Ileana D’Cruz in a guest appearance in Anurag Basu’s “Barfi!” would next be seen in Pradeep Sarkar’s Hindi film “Mardaani”, in which he plays husband to Rani Mukerji’s character.
Sircar is said to have been keen to cast Jisshu opposite Deepika as the role suited him to perfection. However, the fact that Jisshu was being launched as a leading man by Yash Raj Films (YRF) put a question mark on Jisshu’s presence in “Piku”.
Jisshu showed Shoojit his Bengali film “Jaatishwar”. Only then was Sircar convinced.
The excited actor said: “It’s a big break with a director I really admire and with actors I really love. It has been my dream to work with Mr. Bachchan from the time I decided I wanted to be an actor.”
“Irrfan-ji is another actor I truly admire. As for Deepika, isn’t she everyone’s favourite dream girl these days?”
“Piku” would take Jisshu to Mumbai in August.

Akshay Kumar’s Next With Neeraj Pandey Is Titled ‘Baby’

Neeraj Pandey has been on a creative siesta after Special 26. The film that earned rave reviews from the critics, catapulted Akshay Kumar into a league above being a mere Khiladi actor. Kumar was earlier known mostly for his wonderful stunts and fabulous fitness but after Special 26, people began noticing him for his acting as well. With the recent association between Neeraj and Akshay, it seems another sparkling film is at vicinity. The duo have earlier proved their prowess by delivering a memorable and intelligent film, and are all set to strike fortune again it seems.
Recently many news reports informed that Akshay was spotted shooting in Kathmandu, Nepal for an extensive schedule for Pandey’s next film which is a thriller. Though the details of it were reserved carefully, a leading daily reported that the film has been titled ‘Baby’.
The film is expected to release in the Republic Day weekend of 2015. Akshay has been shooting relentlessly for the film. With Gabbar in hand, Akshay has been running on packed schedule. The actor will not take a break and fly down to Istanbul to finish shooting Baby’s second schedule as well.
Well, the Khiladi Kumar’s energy is mesmeric. Keep checking out this space to learn more about the film.

Singham 2 now ‘Singham Returns’

The second instalment of the 2011 Bollywood blockbuster “Singham” has now been titled “Singham Returns” instead of “Singham 2″.
The movie, currently being shot, is coming from the makers of “Golmaal” series. It is another franchise from the actor and director duo Ajay Devgn and Rohit Shetty.
The pair, known to offer superhit entertainers, is currently shooting for the film in Mumbai and much excited about the way it’s turning out.
But it is also the ‘return’ of Kareena Kapoor with the macho men after “Golmaal Returns”.
The Ajay-Kareena pairing and chemistry has been appreciated in both serious and comedy genre. With “Singham Returns”, they are likely to recreate their magic on the big screen.
Together, Ajay and Rohit have delivered comedy and action-packed entertainers like “Golmaal” series, “All The Best” and “Bol Bachchan”.
Their new offering “Singham Returns” is scheduled to release in August.

Hawaa Hawaai

Film:
Hawaa Hawaai  Starring: Partho Gupte, Saqib Saleem, Makrand Deshpande
 Director: Amole Gupte
 Producer: Amole Gupte, Deepa Bhatia
Banner: Fox Star Studios, Amole Gupte Cinema Pvt. Ltd
 Music: Hitesh Sonik
 Review :
Very early in this wonderful film we see the extraordinarily talented young hero  Partho Gupte in prayer with his screen-father, played by the redoubtable Makarand Deshpande.
Immediately, you sense you are in the midst of an exceptionally serene, nurturing and rewarding work of art.
“Hawaa Hawaai” never lets you down. Sure it has its conclaves of concession to populism, like a sports coach on a wheelchair (very chic!) who seems to have watched too many Hollywood films. But you welcome these very endearing attempts to communicate the film’s theme on the right to dream in a language that’s accessible to a mass audience.
This is a film that must be seen by every person young or old who has ever dreamt.
Deeply inspirational it picks an easygoing, jaunty, light and supple tone of narration so that the audience never feels the weight of the message.
The journey of little Arjun Harishchandra Waghmare, played with effortless candour by Partho, from rural Maharashtra to the heart of Mumbai city is mapped with astonishing fluidity and conviction.
Writer-director Amole Gupte looks at the life of the fringe people in the city with a huge amount of compassion. Here is an artiste who happens to be a filmmaker. He is not the least fearful of stepping into the streets of the uncaring city looking for empathy and compassion in the unlikeliest of places.
And finding it!
You may feel that little Arjun encounters too many thoughtful people in a city notorious for its brutal insensitivity. But that’s Amole Gupte for you. Whether it was the hunger for food in “Stanley Ka Dabba” or the yearning to achieve one’s dreams in this film, the child at the centre of the plot is constantly being given a chance to find his identity amidst the turmoil, chaos and bustle of Mumbai.
Arjun’s dreams are visualised not as a fairty-tale, but an obtainable reality.
The narration glides forward in the same streamlined movements as little Arjun’s big dreams on the roller skates. The director allows the dream to grow on its own volition until Partho’s yearnings acquire wings and soar to a splendid culmination where the director intercuts scenes from the boy’s past with the present race on roller skates.
No matter how you look at it, life is tough. But finally beautiful.
While the sequences showing Arjun’s growing bonding with the wheelchair-bound Lucky Sir, adequately played by Saqib Saleem, are very cinematic, it’s in the boy’s relationship with his parents and grandmother and with his four street-smart friends that we witness the full force of Gupte’s virtuosity.
Gupte understands the mind of a growing children intuitively and naturally. He sneaks into corridors of the impressionable mind with the unquestionable certainty of someone who knows his way around. That he has Partho as his ally in this endeavour to map the innerscape of an innocent heart is just so providential for the film.
Partho has already shown us his ability to comprehend the dynamics of childhood in “Stanley Ka Dabba”. Here he moves with age-defying effortlessness from the ‘dabba’ to the chai-glass. Partho brings an element of deep tragedy to the boy’s life without playing for sympathy. Stripped of cute trappings it’s a phenomenal performance.
And he isn’t alone. The four boys, who plays Partho’s pals, namely Ashfaque Bismillah Khan, Salman Chote Khan, Maaman Memon Aand Thiruptathi Kushnapelli are equally adept at portraying the premature wisdom of street children.
Another small hero in the film is Hitesh Soni’s background score. Deepa Bhatia’s edits down the material to a place where we see right into the soul of humanity.
While the scenes of camaraderie among the five boys and between Partho and screen parents (Makrand, Neha Joshi both brilliant beyond words) puts a clamp around your heart and lump in your throat, the skating coach’s Hollywoodian swagger and his “troubled” relationship with his NRI brother (Anuj Sachdeva) didn’t quite grip me.
And honestly, the effort to introduce a hint of a romance between the coach and a rich bored girl from South Mumbai was just too strained to be endearing.
Minor aberrations do not take way from the majesty of the larger picture in this film that dares to dream for the dreamer-hero. You will laugh, weep and cheer for this little Milkha on roller skates.
“Hawaa Hawaai” is an extraordinary saga of ordinary lives, the kind we often pass by at traffic signals. Gupte penetrates the heart mind soul and dreams of those unsung lives. This is the most moving film on street kids since Mira Nair’s “Salaam Bombay”.
This is a not-to-be-missed life-changing experience.

"Aa Re Aa” From The System - Upcoming Lolywood Movie

Tiger Shroff Would Love to Do Parinda Remake

As an actor, newcomer Tiger Shroff is fascinated with his father Jackie Shroff's role in Parinda and would love to be part of the remake if at all it's made, but says he has no desire to do Hero remake.
Tiger is debuting with Heropanti. Directed by Sabbir Khan, the action drama will release on May 23.
"I love my dad's Parinda. It was ahead of its time and it can be made today also. If it is remade, then I would love to play my dad's role in it," Tiger told IANS.
Directed by Vidhu Vinod Chopra, Parinda featured Jackie, Anil Kapoor, and Madhuri Dixit in the key roles. The two National Award winning film was India's official Oscar entry too.
Having said, Tiger is not keen to be part of remake of his dad's hit movie Hero as he wants to create his own identity in filmdom.
"Initially, the makers had offered me Hero remake, but I politely refused the film because I knew I will be compared to my dad. I just want people to know that we are two different people, we have two different styles and we have different movies. I would like to create my own identity," he said.

Kriti Sanon Wanted to Skip Heropanti Kiss

Actress Kriti Sanon, who is making her big screen debut with Heropanti, has locked lips with newcomer Tiger Shroff for the film. But she says she was hesitant about it as she comes from a conservative family.
"When Sabbir Khan (the film's director) told me about the lip-lock scene, I was hesitant about it. I told him, "Can't we just skip this? Is it that important?" But he said it was an important scene and it goes with the flow and it won't look out of place," Kriti told IANS.
Eventually, she agreed to the scene, and says, "it all went off well".
"I come from a conservative family, but my parents took it in a positive way and they supported me with each and every decision of mine," she added.
She is flexible as an actress.
"I don't like to limit myself as an actress. I go with the flow of the film. I feel if it's the demand of the script, then you should do it," she said.

Himesh Reshammiya: I Am Serious About Acting This Time

Acting success may have eluded Himesh Reshamiya till now, but the composer-turned-singer-turned-actor says he is serious this time and has really worked hard for his upcoming film The Xpose.

Himesh, 40, started his Bollywood journey as a composer and has churned out hit film music albums.

He ventured into playback singing and gave several major hits, although his detractors criticised him for his nasal voice.

He later turned to acting with films like Aap Kaa Surroor, Karzzzz, Kajraare and Khiladi 786, but none of them managed to establish him as an actor.

"In my previous films, I feel I had not given my 100 per cent. I did many films at one go. The reason for being part of those projects was money. The dedication and passion on my side was not as much as it should have been. I did not put in the hard work which I usually do when composing or singing," Himesh told PTI.

Despite his not so successful stint in front of the camera, Himesh has no plans to quit acting. He, however, claims that he will only focus on quality work now.

"I want to concentrate more on the craft of acting. In terms of quantity I have achieved a lot- I have done 600 superhit songs. Only quality will be the priority for me from now on," he said.

The Xpose, a musical-thriller film, has been directed by Anant Mahadevan. Himesh plays an ex-cop turned superstar, Ravi Kumar, in the murder mystery set in Bollywood of 60s.

"I am very proud to be associated with this film. I got to work with a National award-winning director. I have worked very hard on my role. I attended an acting workshop for 8 to 10 months and lost 20 kilograms for the character," he said.

The film also stars rapper Yo Yo Honey Singh, newcomers Sonali Raut and Zoya Afroz in prominent roles. Actor Irrfan Khan will be seen in a cameo in the movie, which will hit theatres on May 16.

Shraddha Kapoor shoots for Vogue in Dubai

DUBAI:The UAE’S scorching desert became all the more hotter when Shraddha Kapoor shot for the April edition of Vogue in Dubai. The current edition of the fashion magazine talks about the most exclusive and exciting experiences of the UAE. The girl with the killer body and innocent looks shot for these pictures at Al Maha Desert Resort in Dubai. She was styled by Bollywood favourite Anaita Shroff Adajania. Editor of Vogue India, Priya Tanna gave City Times a sneak peek of the edition. On the cover page we see her goth, grunge and chic avatar, but for the inside pictures we see a softer side of Shraddha playing with a camel and an eagle.
“Shooting in the UAE amidst the endless dunes, gave our April cover shoot a beautiful and ethereal sense of space and at the same time a touch of fantasy. The sand, the camels and the natural light made for a post card perfect backdrop for the Shraddha Kapoor shoot. The experience was absolutely memorable.
“For the cover story, we shot in the Oryx sanctuary and in the dunes. For another story we shot at the Emirates hanger, aboard the A380, and for another shoot we flaunted the skyline of Dubai against the backdrop of hot air balloons and the Kempinski Hotel. For a forthcoming issue we have also shot at the magical Atlantis hotel. Right from the weather to the hospitality, it was all conducive for a beautiful collaboration. Shraddha particularly enjoyed early morning visits from the gazelle and shooting in the company of the oryx.”
